BCM replacment for Bi-xenon upgrade

  • Hello,

Ik hope englisch is ok :)

I am currently investigating the Bi-Xenon upgrade for my Polo 6R. It is a Highline whit a executive plus pakkage, i already retro fitted a RNS510, whit a Golf mk6 camera and OPS for the front and rear. I orderd a seat heating set whit orginal parts ( :D ).
I already found out that i need to replace the BCM (Part # 6R0 937 087 D) to a version that supports Bi-Xenon.
Now i am wondering if i can do the replacment on my own, whit out intervention of the local VW dealer, i do own a orginal HEX+CAN VCDS cable (current version i am running is 12.12.2). Am i right when i preform this:
    Make a autoscan and save
Replace the BCM (and modify the wiringloom)
    Enter the longcoding
    Activate the remote controles
The following steps i took over from Rosstech for the Golk 5k
    >Channel 000: Remote Control Clearing
    >>Channel 001: Remote Control Matching
    Disable factory mode
    >>>Channel 019: Factory Mode
Will these steps be ok to do the replacement on my own, or did i forget something wich only a dealer can do. A little side note. I work as a TEC @ Fiat, Alfa, Lancia, Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep ( i know, i dare to swear here :D ).

So i have the skills to replace it, i just never did it on a VW before.
